RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF MULTI-RIBBED COMPOSITE WALL SUBJECTED TO NON-STATIONARY EARTHQUAKE
Research on the dynamic reliability of multi-ribbed slab structure has not been done yet. The objective of the present work is to calculate the reliability of multi-ribbed composite wall subjected to random earthquake. The stationary component of the ground motion is described by Clough-Penzien model, which is modulated by a typical piecewise envelope intensity function to include the non-stationary feature. The stochastic dynamic analysis is performed using modal superposition method to obtain the power spectral density function of random response. Then mean square values are obtained based on computed random response. Finally, the reliability formulations are developed through the solution of first passage problem. Multi-ribbed composite wall of one floor, frame and shear wall which are subjected to frequent earthquake, basic intensity earthquake and rare earthquake are considered for reliability calculations. Results show that dynamic reliability of multi-ribbed composite wall is between reliability of frame and reliability of shear wall.
