SYSTEM-RELIABILITY ANALYSIS OF TUNNEL SECONDARY LINING DURING SERVICE LIFE
For some composite tunnels, secondary linings have been used to support load as important members. In this paper, a method is proposed to assess the system-reliability of secondary lining during the service life. The time-decay modal is used to simulate the degradation of resistance. Based on in-situ monitoring data and finite element analysis, Response Surface method is adopted to gain the explicit expression of the load effect. Four key sections which are located at the foot of each wall, the vault and the inverted arch, are selected for system-reliability analysis. For the eccentrically compressed reinforced concrete sections with small eccentricities, the secondary liner is considered as a series system, the failure probability of system is obtained by means of Monte-Carlo simulation. Finally the proposed method is demonstrated with an example.
