STUDY ON FATIGUE RELIABILITY OF OFFSHORE PLATFORMS BASED ON SUB-STRUCTURAL IDENTIFICATION METHOD
In order to accurately evaluate the fatigue reliability of offshore platforms and reduce the analytical efforts, a new fatigue reliability method based on substructure for offshore platform is proposed. In this method, sub-structural analysis is used to reduce the complexity of large structures according to the importance, then the fatigue reliability of substructure is analyzed and the fatigue reliability of the integrated structure is assessed finally. To validate the proposed method, a planar truss and a jacket offshore platform are analyzed the fatigue reliability, respectively. The results show that the proposed method can not only simplify the complexity of the large structure and reduce reanalysis of fatigue reliability, but also improve the analytical precision to some extent.
