METHOD OF STRUCTURAL STOCHASTIC STABILITY ANALYSIS AND ITS APPLICATION TO SAFETY EVALUATION
In this paper, probability concepts are applied to structural stability analysis and safety evaluation. Considering uncertainties in engineering, structural stochastic stability is defined. Based on the dynamic reliability theory, structural stochastic stability criterion is presented. Combined Monte Carlo simulation with finite element method, a numerical simulation method on safety evaluation of structural stochastic stability is presented. The method of structural stochastic stability analysis and safety evaluation has been successfully used to evaluate the safety of continuously welded rail (CWR) track dynamic stability.
