CALCULATION AND SAFETY ASSESSMENT OF ACCUMULATED DAMAGE OF A LARGE STEEL STRUCTURE ON BUILDING TOP
The article researches the accumulated damage and safety of a large steel structure on building top which has constructional deficiency. Finite element is used to calculate main internal forces, stress and deformation of steel structure of steel tower; the type, depth and influence degree of defects are measured; erection stress and welding residual stress are measured; average wind load and pulsating wind load endured by steel tower are determined; damage accumulating degree of steel structure defect is calculated, and safety of main steel structure of steel tower is assessed according to linear accumulating damage theory. Moreover, an example is given to explain that the method is practical and effective. This provides useful experience for safety analysis of large steel structure on building top.
