THE RESEARCH ON THE INFLUENCE OF SUBARCH OF DONGPING BRIDGE ON ITS COMPLETED STATE
The swing-body method was applied to the construction of Dongping Bridge in Foshan of China. Dongping Bridge adopted a self-balance system of plane-rotation with subarch which remains as permanent constituent of the bridge after the construction. Through the research on the influence of subarch on its completed state, some conclusions were drawn as follows: the subarch not only reduced deflection caused by dead loads and live loads and tensioning force of rigid tie but also improved frequency distribution to decrease vibration arose. The service behaviors of Dongping Bridge were optimized by subarch. It provides some reference for related projects.
