DAMAGE IDENTIFICATION IN LABORATORY MODEL OF HYDRAULIC RADIAL GATE
In this paper, damage identification in the laboratory model of hydraulic radial gate is performed based on the updated finite element (FE) model of the structure. A structural damage identification method proposed before is adopted to identify the damage in the radial gate model made in the laboratory. Where, damage identification problem is set as a nonlinear least-squares minimization problem with bound-constrains. The trust-region approach is used to solve the minimization problem for a more robust and reliable optimisation process, and expansion of the objective function is also used. Damage identification process of the hydraulic radial gate model is firstly performed with simulated data under various damage cases. Then, the measured modal data from the radial gate structure are used to identify the real damages with different damage extents. The illustrated results show that the damages in the hydraulic radial gate model can be effectively identified by this damage identification method.
