EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF STRUCTURAL DAMAGE DIAGNOSIS METHOD BASED ON MULTI-SOURCE DATA FUSION
Damage identification plays an important role in structural health monitoring. In this paper, multi- source data fusion (MSDF) is employed to develop a novel structural damage identification method. First, essential theory and mathematic methods of MSDF are introduced. Then, structural damage identification method based on MSDF is presented. The philosophy of the method is to fuse identification results of two or more methods by MSDF technique. Later, experimental case study with concrete plates is performed. It is proved that if two methods are integrated by character-level information fusion, initial damage of structures can be more accurately localized and identified than by only one single method. In addition, the way to choosing mathematical methods for MSDF and applied principle of them should be analyzed and discussed in detail in the future.
