EXPERIMENTAL STUDY AND FINITE ELEMENT ANALYSIS ON RPC TROUGH BEAM DESIGN
Reactive Powder Concrete (RPC) is a new generation complex material, which has ultra-high strength, high ductility and low permeability. The application of RPC in bridge engineering will decrease the direct maintenance, improve the general performance and reduce the structure total cost and so on. However, seldom research work has been conducted on RPC structure design theory and method. It is necessary to carry out the research on RPC structures to provide the design theory and method. In this paper, an assembled RPC trough beam is designed and manufactured. The RPC trough beam is loaded to be failure and the failure phenomenon is analyzed. According to the actual model size, a finite element model is established. And some strengthening measures are advanced for the RPC trough beam design based on the finite element analysis.
