APPLICATION OF GIS FOR THE HEALTH MONITORING IN CONSTRUCTION OF URBAN SUBWAY

The health monitoring in construction of urban subway is an important procedure of guaranteeing construction safety and engineering quality. Slope and settlement of the buildings around the subway route, settlement of the road and various kinds of pipelines, displacement of soil mass, change of water level, displacement of bridge pier and abutment, convergence and vault sink of the tunnel etc. should be monitored during the subway construction. Prompt computation, analysis and information feedback to monitoring data are necessary. The monitoring data processing and analysis involve a large amount of spatial data processing, drawing, geography location and tabulation. The paper describes a monitoring information system based on the Geographic Information System (GIS) to deal with, analyses the data of construction monitoring and provide information feedback in time for the safety in urban subway construction, expounds the design and development of the system from its contents, main functions and system structure. The application of this system to the urban subway construction in Shenzhen, China shows that it can manage and analyze monitoring data, provide the location of construction monitoring points and safety in construction information effectively, thus it plays an important role in construction for urban subway.
