STUDY ON SAFETY PERFORMANCE OF THE TRAIN WHEN IT PASSING THE SMALL-RADIUS CURVE IN SHITAI RAILWAY
State parameters of small-radius curve track impose a direct impact on the safety and stability when the train passes through such sections. When the train passes the small-radius curve, dynamic performance test under wheel-rail inter-action is a main method to verity whether the track parameters are reasonable or not. With the increasing of trains speed, it is urgent for us to test the state parameters of small- radius curve track of Shitai railway (which located in mountain region) to evaluate its safety. This paper mainly focused on the procedures and results of ground safety measurement of small-radius (278m) curve track located in 89km mileage of Shitai up- line. The measurements included lateral ballast resistances, internal-forces of ground-anchored bearing poles, transverse forces of wheel-sets and horizontal forces of single wheel when the train passing. Based on the test results, this paper analyzed the state of the track and the safety performance of the train, and put forward the suggestions for further observing, measurement and reinforcement of the route.
