CAS Based Conceptual Model of Enterprise System Origin and its Evolution

Nowadays enterprises are facing more and more uncertainties and challenges. As an important research topic, Enterprise System’s Structure should be paid more attention by researchers and managers. In this work, we combine two theories insights: complex adaptive systems (CAS) theory and resource-based view (RBV). Firstly, we present a conceptual model of the structure for enterprise system. Secondly, this paper builds a Conceptual Model of Enterprise System Evolution. Thirdly, we analyze and build the model of enterprise origin. This model is simulated by swarm software. In the chaotic economic system, as a founder attractor, the reason for single agent’s motivation and mechanism to build enterprise is given and the congregation of complex system is proven as well.
