Envronment Impact Assessment of the River Training Projects in the Wandering Stretch of the Lower Reaches of Yellow River
With the development of the economy and society, people have paid more attention to environment that they live in. The river training is the most important measure and plays an important role in the flood control in the lower reaches of Yellow River. However, it unavoidably brings some negative influences, too. Based on the analysis on all possible influences due to the river training, the evaluation is obtained by using the Battelle system methodology and the matrix system. At the same time, measures and suggestions are proposed to reduce or to mitigate some of the adverse consequences of the projects.
