Inspirations for China on Eco-environmental Water Requirement--From the Legislation in Australia and South Africa
Ensuring the co-environmental water use is an important prerequisite for achieving sustainable development, and an essential foundation for constructing a harmony society between human beings and the nature. In Australian and South Africa, law and/or policy have been formulated to ensure the right of the environment for water, and/or to give a proper legal status to the environmental water needs. Analysing the law and policy in these jurisdictions and finding learns for China to learn are helpful for China to enhance its level of water resources management, and to strengthen the sustainable utilisation of water resources, and further to promote the achieving the harmony society in China.
