APPLICATION OF MODIFIED ELLIPTIC MILD-SLOPE EQUATION FOR WAVE PROPAGATION AND TRANSFORMATION

Based on elliptic mild-slope equation, integrating with various factors of transformation, such as bottom friction, wave breaking and uneven topography, modified mildslope equation is obtained, mathematical model considering wave refraction, diffraction and reflection is established. After mild-slope equation is transformed to the form of Helmholtz equation, Gaussian elimination method is adopted to solve thrifty banded matrix equation. Since the computing efficiency is improved significantly, the model can be applied to numerically simulate wave transformation under the condition of complicated topography. Wave refraction,diffraction and reflection modeling for a harbor is conducted and a sound wave height distribution in the harbor is given.
