RESEARCH ON DISASTROUS ROGUE WAVES IN CHINA
With especially high single wave peak, large wave steepness, and typical characteristic of appearing suddenly, as a kind of ocean disaster, rogue waves or freak wave still can not be explained or forecasted perfectly. This phenomenon has been paid more attention to by the people interested on sea and ocean all over the world, for the appalling danger it bring and un-divinable recently. The disastrous rogue wave and its possible potential dangers to China are presented at first. And then, from the definition of rogue wave, research methods and some corresponding conclusions, the understanding about this phenomenon is depicted. The methods that can be used to research on rogue waves and corresponding conclusions and some advice are given here too. The purpose of this paper is providing some ideas or primary rules for the people interested in this field.
