AN UNSTRUCTURED FINITE-VOLUME ALGORITHM FOR FLOOD ROUTING SIMULATION
An unstructured finite-volume numerical algorithm is presented for solution of two-dimensional shallow water equation with complex topography. Roe’s approximate Riemann solver is used to the systems. Characteristic decompose method is used for the bed slop source term, which balances the flux and keeps schemes harmonious. The slope limiter (Hubband, 1999) is used for second order scheme. The model was used to simulate the flood routing of the PanTouPao detention basin in 1998.
