Classification and application of Implantable Drug

Implantable drug delivery systems (IDDS) are long term acting controlled release systems. The IDDS are classified and the principle, the advantages and the drawbacks for application of all categories are analyzed. The Research and application of IDDS are also briefly reviewed.
