The Improvement of Operation Technology in Baosteel No. 2 BF Service Time
No.2 BF is the first big blast furnace with 4000m<3> independently built by China. During the first generation of its service time, we have met many problems in its operation practice. The paper mainly deals with the adjustment of related operation technologies to the characteristics of the furnace condition, the breakthrough in the advanced index and continuous improvement in the technologies to make sure the long life of the blast furnace. Through the above efforts, we managed to steadily run No. 2 BF for 15 years and 2 months, and at the same time, we made first-class iron-making production of 11611.27 ton per m<3>, being listed one of the top blast furnaces with long life in the world.
