Probability Analysis of Jiujiapeng Bridge Pier Section Capability Using OPENSees

The probability based seismic assessment of the bridge is a reasonable method to include the uncertain factors influence. The moment-curvature analysis for concrete bridge pier section is proposed to calculate the bridge pier section performance. The response surface method is proposed to analyze the bridge pier section performance in the explicit functions of concrete strength and steel rod strength. The yield curvature, ultimate curvature, yield moment, ultimate moment, curvature ductility was studied using the sampling method. The probability and variation distribution of the bridge pier characteristic are regressed. The computed results give guidance for the bridge seismic assessment.
