Identification of the Operational Condition for Long Span Cable-Stayed Bridges

The theory and method of condition recognition for the long-span cable-stayed bridge is discussed in this paper because the identification of the operational condition is a key process to guarantee the performance of long-span cable-stayed bridge. Use the measured main-girder displacement with high measuring accuracy as the input parameters, recognize and verify the cable tension with relatively low measuring accuracy, and then the internal force state is defined. According to the flexibility method, the influence matrix based on the computational model is established, and then the real cable tension of the stayed cable was carried out by the principle analysis optimization method. Then the operating condition of the cable-stayed bridge can be figured out finally. Take one certain real cable-stayed bridge as example to present the effectiveness of the proposed method in this paper, the analysis shown that the proposed method is an effective, simple and convenient method in real cable-stayed bridge to determine the cable-stayed bridge operational condition.
