Spatial Finite Element Analysis on Steel Box Girder of Large Span Cable-stayed Bridge
In order to investigate the mechanical characteristic of flat steel box girder of long span cable-stayed bridge, Runyang cable-stayed bridge (RCB) was taken as an example in the paper. Based on software ANSYS, the whole finite element (FE) model of the RCB and the submodel of the steel box girder were established, respectively. The submodel technique was used to analyze local stress of key sections in steel box girder, and the stress level and distribution characteristic of steel box girder were studied, the mechanical characteristic of steel box girder of long span cable-stayed bridge was further summarized systematically. The analysis results can provide reference for design of the same type bridge and simultaneously indicate that the submodeling method is very effective and can accurately calculate the stress response of the steel box girder.
