Subway Station Structure Monitoring by Fiber Bragg Grating Sensors
Performance test results of Fiber Bragg grating (FBG) sensors show that FBG sensors have high sensitivity and long-term stability. Based on the theory of heat of hydration, the temperature of soleplates is calculated by finite element (FE) method. FBG sensors have been applied successfully in health monitoring of Guomao Station. Compared with results measured by vibrating wire (VW) sensors and computed by finite element method, the monitoring results show temperature and strains can be accurately measured by FBG sensors. The strains of the secondary lining is first monitored in the world. Through the strains of sections, section moments are also obtained.
