Dynamic Response Simulation of the TMB for Structural State Assessment
The dynamic response of the Tsing Ma Bridge under running train is simulated with finite element model. The results show that the train speed affects the girder deformation distinctly, but takes less effect on the stress level in structural elements. The faster the running train, the higher the main girder deformation. The simulated dynamic responses under two running train loadings show that the main girder deformation is nonlinear.
