Cracking Process by FEM under Vehicle Loadings
In the paper the development of pier cracks under the vehicle loadings was carried out for the crack phenomenon in the practical engineering object by finite element method (FEM). Based on the objective phenomenon of cracks on the single column bridge pier, the analysis of cracking process was made through the computer simulation and calculation. The result showed that the cracking process was different from the development of cracks in the practical engineering object. Therefore, the crack phenomenon in this pier was not caused by vehicle loadings. And under periodic observation the cracks didnt develop. The analysis provided a reference for the same problem in the health monitoring system.
