Parametric Study using Complex Variable Differential Method and Static Displacement Measurements
A method for structural parameter identification utilizing static displacements is presented. A new sensitivity analysis with complex variable differential method is established, and the complicated calculation of function partial differential only requires function evaluations. An optimization-based parameter identification method is adopted and an iterative approach is established by using the Gauss-Newton method. The identified material and geometrical properties can easily be used for damage assessment. Numerical examples of Timoshenko beam and plane frame structure are presented, and the material parameters are accurately identified.
