Stochastic Analysis of Parameter Uncertainty in the Cable-Stayed Bridge
In order to make stochastic analysis of parameters uncertainty in cable-stayed bridges the Monte Carlo method based on response surface of stepwise regress has to be used, i. e. to build a better and stable regression equation to improve response surface accuracy takes stepwise regress statistical technology into fitting response surface, random variables that have significant impact on the dependent variables are selected, then use Latin Hypercube sampling to generate Monte Carlo samples based on response surface to analyze the structural characteristic under parameters uncertainty in the cable-stayed bridges. Based on the method, the static and dynamic characteristics of Runyang cable-stayed bridge have been analyzed. This is accomplished by a probabilistic finite element geometrically nonlinear analysis approach. The study forms part of an investigation into the health monitor of large span bridges undertaken at Southeast University.
