Bridge Damage Location Based on RBFN
The author calculated 900 kinds of hangers damage cases of Runyang suspension bridge, and discovered that the damage pattern is sensitive to the damage location but insensitive to the damage extent. Based on the above studies, a RBFN describing the 30- dimension mapping space of damage pattern was founded. The training and identifying based on the different damage cases proved that the RBFN could effectively grasp the damage pattern and identify the damage location. In addition, the Evaluation Index of location error was defined to quantify the location effect.
