Influence on the State of Cable-Stayed Bridge under Dead Load by Geometry Size Probability

The influence by the stochastic geometry sizes on the finished state of a symmetric radiating cable-stayed bridge under dead load is studied. The shape finding procedure was taken to determine the initial forces of each cable and the reasonable configure of the cable-stayed bridge under dead load. The corresponding ANSYS program in APDL language was written and the result was compared with those from the literature. Then the influence by the stochastic geometry size such as the height and the location of the tower, the anchor points of each inclined cable and the length of the side span on the initial forces and corresponding configure was studied, and the independence of those parameters and the probability characteristic of the internal forces and deflection of the girder was analyzed. Additionally, the parameter sensitivity with respect to each random is studied, and some useful conclusions for construction were drawn.
