Experimental Research on the Hidden Weld Affection of Overlap Parallel Tubular K-Joints
New form overlap parallel K-joints are tested in the lab. Three series of full scale joints, hidden weld welded or unwelded are made. Design of tested specimens and loading scheme are introduced, and the main results of experiment are obtained. From the further FEM analysis, the role of hidden weld affection to the different parameter joints is summarized. Finally, the advice of construction of this new kind joint is provided.
