Performance-Based Seismic Design for Seismic Isolation Buildings
Seismic isolation is a new technology for mitigating the disaster of earthquake. General rule for performance-based seismic design of buildings, which adopts the ideas of performance-based seismic design first time in China, proposes the practical design method for isolation buildings. In this paper, with comparison to the code of seismic design, the practical method is analyzed by quoting two engineering examples. The results are likely to be useful of the isolation buildings employed the performance-based seismic design.
