Study on Photocatalytic Oxidation of Activative Yellow K-RN of Nano-ZnO

The behavior of the photodegradation of K-RN was studied in ZnO aqueous suspensions under mercury lamp irradiation. The effects of initial concentration of the amount and the irradiation time of catalyst (ZnO) on photodegradation of K-RN have been investigated. The characteristics of photocatalytic oxidation and photocatalytic mechanism of nano-ZnO on K-RN were verified; the reaction apparently proceeded according to the first-order kinetics.
