Photocatalytic Material using Sn<4+> to Dope Nanometer TiO<,2>/Kaolinite
Photocatalytic material was prepared by mean of chemical doping of Sn<4+>, with layered kaolinite as substrate and Ti(OC<,4>H<,9>)<,4> as precursor. The 1 ~10nm thick monolayer anatase nano TiO<,2> crystal was doped on surface of kaolinite homogeneously, which was shown by the characterization of the photocatalyst using XRD, TEM and AFM. Azo dye wastewater containing Direct Blue and Direct Purple was treated by this photocatalyst under UV-light and sunlight separately. The experiment results show that doping improved material photocatalytic activity in a way and the photocatalytic efficiency were also risen obviously in sunlight.
