Application of Electric Potential Method on Monitoring Crack of Aluminium Film on the Paper Substrate
The principle of electric potential method for testing crack was introduced. On the basis of this principle, a set of experiments were carried out for testing cracks of Aluminium film on the paper substrate. Based on the experimental data, the relation curves between voltage values and cracks lengths were obtained on condition that those cracks grew at several different positions, and a set of empirical formulae between the voltage values and cracks lengths were deduced, from which it can be seen that it is feasible to monitor the crack propagation of Aluminium film using electric potential method.
