Numerical Simulation of the Fuzzy-random Reliability of RC Beams Strengthened with CFRP
The structure safety is a random event, but the safety boundary of structure must be fuzzy. Therefore the reliability design of the CFRP-strengthened RC beams should consider the fuzziness and the randomness. The Monte-Carlo program introducing fuzzy indicative function is compiled and the fuzzy indicative function is determined by the experiments. The random variable arrays submitted to the probability distribution function are produced directly with Matlab, which solving the Monte Carlo direct sampling problem. 16 pieces of CFRP- strengthened RC beams are constructed in the tests. The statistic parameters of stochastic variables can be obtained from the tests. The simulation of fuzzy- random reliability of RC beams is fulfilled with Monte Carlo method based on Matlab. The simulating results have been tested and verified with AFOSM method based on experiments.
