Integration of the Moroccan Cities by the Multinational Firms of Agro-alimentary Sector: EI Jadida City and the Agri-food Sector
Acceleration of exchanges pushed the companies to be organized in networks being based on localized territorial competences. Interaction between localized territorial competences and firms networks lead to original territorial developments. Firm- territory nexus occurs from local to global scale. Thanks to a national policy protecting dairy products in Morocco, three firms established in the town of El Jadida. These concurrent firms on a worldwide scale penetrate the same market and are confronted with the same local problems. A co-operation between these firms and institutional actors make it possible to develop the die milk at the regional scale, hut the integration of these activities is only on a national scale because of a powerful protectionism.
