Seismic response and dynamic characteristic analysis of the complex intake tower structure
The tunnel of hydraulic structures is an important component in a multipurpose dam project to achieve flood prevention, generation and water supply. An intake tower structure is the major part of the tunnel of hydraulic structures. There has been an urgent need to strengthen the research of intake tower structure so as to ensure safety of hydraulic installations and reduce investment. In this paper the space solid element is adopted to discretize the structure according to the structural properties of the intake tower;the dynamic characteristics of four different schemes are calculated with subspace method;the seismic responses of the four schemes are obtained with mode superposition method of transient analysis. The solutions are discussed in detail, which provide a scientific basis for the design of a intake tower in a practical project.
