Nonlinear vibration for moderate-thickness cracked plate with dowels on elastic foundation
The nonlinear vibration behavior of moderate- thickness cracked plate with dowels on elastic foundation are investigated. The load transfer on dowels is modeled as vertical springs, whose stiffness depends on the dowel properties and dowel- plated interaction. According to variational principle, the nonlinear governing equations of moderate thickness rectangular cracked plate with discontinuities on two-parameter foundation are derived, and the suitable expressions of trial functions satisfying all boundary conditions are developed. By employing the Galerkin method and the harmonic balance method, the nonlinear vibration equations were solved and the nonlinear vibration behavior of the plate on elastic foundation were discussed.
