Nonlinear forward-iteration method for cable-stayed bridge

If the geometric nonlinear effects are considered in the forward analysis for cable-stayed bridges in the construction period, the determination of controlling parameters for construction control should be a nonlinear iteration process. A method for the calculation of internal forces and deformations of the girders in super-long span cable-stayed bridges has been developed. A steel cable-stayed bridge with the main span of 1088 meters is taken as an example to show the validity of the proposed method.
