Low Cost Preparation For SiC Nanometer Powder and Thermodynamics Research
Low cost Silicon Carbon nanometer powder was synthesized by carbonthermal reduction method with nanometer Silicon oxide and carbon black as material. Synthesis thermodynamics of low cost SiC powder was discussed, the influence of rare-earth element La on TG-DSC was analysed. This research indicated the synthesis process had two steps. The first step formed medial production SiOg and COg. And the second step synthesized silicon carbon finally. With the 0.3 wt% of La added, at the first step the initiatory formed temperature declined from 1526℃ to 1357℃, the heat energy needed decreased from 223J/g to 34J/g; at the second step the initiatory formed temperature declined from 1351 to 1250 ℃ ℃, the heat energy needed decreased from 693J/g to 295J/g. under the technology of 1500℃ for 120min, average powder diameter is about 100nm. Without La added, average powder diameter is about 150nm, under the technology of 1550℃ for 120min.
