Large Area Porous Silicon: Research for Potential Explosive Materials
The large area porous silicon (90mm×5mm) samples were prepared with electrochemical etching methods. Their surface microstructure pictures were reviewed. The porosity and film thickness after various etching time were measured, which outlined the progress of vertical etching and horizontal etching. With the increase of etching time, their surface area increased, HK pore distribution curve moved high, and BJH pore distribution curve moved high and the peak moved left. Their photoluminescence of LAPS were measured and their relationship with the microstructure was discussed. Large area porous silicon - gadolinium nitrate composite energetic materials were fabricated and the fabrication process preparation was given here. The composite were experimented ignitable with electric spark and the subsequent explosion phenomena were detailed.
