Effect of Al2O3 content on the structure and properties of FeCo/Al2O3 nanocomposites
Fe2O3(CoO)/Al2O3 nanocomposite powders were prepared by sol-gel technique , then the as-prepared powders were reduced in H2 atmosphere to obtain FeCo/Al2O3 nanocermet powders with different Al2O3 content. The crystalline structures, sizes, morphologies and magnetic properties of the samples were investigated by X-ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM).The results showed that the content of Al2O3 has a significant influence on the structure, the grain size, and the magnetic properties of the specimens. As can be seen during exposed in an oxidizing atmosphere for long time or annealing in an oxidizing atmosphere at 200℃, the processed FeCo/Al2O3 nanocomposites are resistant to oxidation.
