Magnetic Properties of NiSn-substituted NiZn Ferrite Thin Films
NiSn-substituted NiZn thin films, Ni0.5+xSnxZn0.5Fe2-2xO4 (0≤x≤0.2), were synthesized by a sol-gel method. The crystallographic and magnetic properties of Ni0.5+xSnxZn0.5Fe2-2xO4 thin films have been investigated. The diffraction patterns shift to smaller diffraction angles (2θ) a little and the lattice constant (a) increases with increasing substitution of NiSn. Meanwhile, MH loops demonstrate that the NiSn-substituted films are easier saturated than the unsubstituted film. Saturation magnetization (Ms) of films monotonously decreases with the increasing NiSn as the nonmagnetic ions Sn4+ and less magnetic ions Ni2+ (2μB) replace the Fe3+ (5μB). Hc gradually increases and has an extreme point at x(NiSn)=0.10.
