UV-LED Applied To TiO2 Photocatalytic degradation of formaldehyde

Nowdays people are paying more and more attention to indoor air pollution, especially to the pollution from formaldehyde. In this letter we report our study on degradation of formaldehyde by the nano-sized TiO2 with UV-LED as the light source. The photocatalytic results showed that the formaldehyde gas has been degraded completely. The main product is CO2, only a few change into CO. The results dedicated that UV-LED could be used as light source for photocatalytic degradation of indoor air pollution.
