Structural and magnetic properties of Fe-doped ZnO thin films
The Zn1-x FexO(x =0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.12) thin films were grown on Si substrates by reactive magnetron sputtering. X-ray-diffraction measurement reveals that all samples are single phase and have wurtzite structure with c-axis orientation. As Fe concentration increase in the Zn1-x FexO film, the c-axis lattice constant decrease linearly. Magnetization measurement indicates that the room temperature ferromagnetism is shown in Fe-coped ZnO films. Magnetic force microscopy (MFM) measurement suggests that the ferromagnetism at room temperature in Fe-coped ZnO film is intrinsic, and it is originated from the diluted magnetic matrix but not from any form of clusters.
