Particulate Behavior of Modified PZT Phase Transition Ceramics under One Dimension Strain
In this paper the phase-transition ceramics of Nb and La modified PZT95/5 materials was investigated. The relationship among produce, properties, and microstructure was analysed. It was showed that the vacancy and grain boundary play important role in the properties. The difference between the raw materials and ceramics was due to the preferential volatilization of PbO. In order to examine the shockresistant properties of the ceramic, the transition in phase and the change in microstructure with one dimension strain were examined by SEM and XPS. With the microstructure analysis after one dimension strain, it was showed that the grains combination in the ceramic surface layer was destroyed into fragments. The crystal grain itself was crush into piece in size of 0.2~0.6μm. With the measurement of the charge release the phase transition was examined. It was found that the curve of phase transition was assumed S-type. The phase transition was taken place at 0.4 G Pa, and finished at 1.6 G Pa.
