Effects of adding ferrocene derivative on properties of PMMA/Nano-PS compound light scattering material

Effects of α-hydroxylethyl ferrocene as additive substance on preparation optical properties of PMMA/PS compound light scattering material were discussed. The result showed that temperature of in-situ polymerization decreased because of addition of α-hydroxylethyl ferrocene. Transmittance and haze of compound material decreased in some degree respectively. The relationship between the concentration of the scattering substance and transmittance or haze was in accordance with light scattering formula. The typical peeks value of PMMA fell as shown in IR graph. SEM microstructure showed that the distribution state of scattering substance changed.
