Influence of nanoSBR on light scattering property of PS/PMMA compound materials

The effects of nano styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) power on the transmittance and haze of PS/PMMA light scattering polymeric material were studied. The results show that the addition of nanoSBR power to PS/PMMA could affect the light scattering property of new compound materials. Compared to the parent compound PS/PMMA, the curves of transmittance of the new compound materials decrease slowly and appear fluctuation with changed amount of SBR; The haze curve shows the multiple peaks and the first minimum of haze is 65%. Adding nanoSBR to PS/PMMA provided a new method to improve the light scattering property of PS/PMMA compound materials.
