Study on nanoscale mesoporous materials of a heavy metal ion adsorbent for environment remediation
A new approach to heavy metal ion adsorbents based on the framework pore walls of nanoscale mesoporous materials has been investigated. Nano-La-HMS with an electrically neutral framework was examined. Nano-La-HMS silicas were assembled by a S°I° pathway using alkyamines as surfactants (S°) and TEOS as the neutral silica source(I°) .Whereas for nano-La-HMS , S° was removed by solvent extraction .The Pb2+ adsorption capacities for La-HMS were interpreted in terms of the size and accessibility of the framework pore structure.
