Study on pressure and antiwear property of the core-shell Cu-Ni nanoparticles
Study on some characters of the core-shell Cu-Ni bimetallic nanoparticles. For example: the core-shell Cu-Ni bimetallic nanoparticles is not easy to be oxidized in the air. It can be seen from the thermo gravimetric (TG), that the particles increase weight(oxidation) at nearly 150 ℃. then use Cu-Ni nanoparticles as additive, and add it to 500SN oil, and 15W/40SG/CD engine oil 、220 Heavy duty industrial gear oil, GL-5 vehicle gear oil respectively. Use four-ball machine to test their pressure and antiwear property. As few as 0.015% amount of additive increase greatly the PB of the lubricant oil (It reaches nearly 1000N/GB3142). Also find that when core-shell Cu-Ni nanoparticles are combined with a kind of phosphate.,their pressure and antiwear property are better. It is a highly efficient pressure and antiwear additive.
